What is an Exercise Stress Test?
The exercise stress test reveals cardiac problems not detectable at rest by stressing the heart with exercise. ECG and blood pressure are monitored under progressively increasing workload on a treadmill or bike.
What Does It Assess?

- Exercise-triggered arrhythmias

- Blood pressure response to exercise
How is it Performed?
ECG electrodes are attached to the chest and treadmill speed and incline are gradually increased. Takes approximately 30-45 minutes.
